Thanks for sharing this. As a mother I did most of the library and book shop browsing with our child. We enjoyed discovering and picking new stories to read. Of course, we also read aloud to her so a first it was important that we like the picture books.
She went through a pause on fiction about fourth grade, she only liked factual books on animals, horse care and humorous books.
I loved reading to my kids at bedtime. Thankfully, my son who's 7 still likes his bedtime readings and turning the pages of a book. Makes me feel a little sad that over 50% of kids are turning to online reading.
